African hotel
I've been to Africa and love it. Now your simmies can go there, too. I've uploaded an African hotel, built like a traditional village, but with all the comfort and luxury your simmies could wish for. There are four huts, all with a double-bed, so this resort is suitable for couples.I first built it with all kinds of wonderful exotic plants from our TSRAA artists, but the file ended up mega-sized! So I took away almost all plants, leaving an acacia tree, banana tree, jurassica palm plus one climbing plant that's on the statue. Besides this, there are some large rocks and a log seating. Also, I love Murano's floor mirror that makes floors look high-polished. If you don't want to download the mesh needed for this effect, then you can just remove all the floors that look black without the mesh. You remove them at the edges.
If you don't have Celebration Stuff, this will only affect one small dining table in the Simba theme hut.
I'm very pleased with the spa that is sited on black rock and combined with the huge statue, I think the effect is very dramatic!
I've played the lot and everything should work fine. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Up and Go!
Future superstars need to start their training early! The classic two-piece Adidas tracksuit has always been popular with adults, so I shrunk it down to toddler-size proportions. It took some work, as those diapers are disfiguring and need extra space. This wee tracksuit can actually be found in stores, if you want to copy the snappy style for the mini-hipster in your life!More sportswear
I set my foot in the gym for the first time ever, 6 months ago. It didn't take long for me to get hooked! I don't have any real sportswear as yet, but am planning to buy some this fall. I guess that's why I'm so eager to dress up my simmies! I believe I will feel even better about training once I get myself something proper to wear. And so will my simmies. So I've made tracksuits for elder females and sportswear for teen boys, these will be coming up soon!Wow... Select Artist!
I want to thank all of you who have appreciated and downloaded my creations! You have kept me going, making me want to learn to do more and better creations. Now I have been honored with a Select Artist title. I'm going to hang on to it, which means that I have to keep challenging myself! Thanks again, and I hope you will keep coming back for more!Kids on track!
Don't you just hate the lack of decent tracksuits for our simmie kids? It's easier to get them off the couch if you dress them for sports! Luckily, I found a teen tracksuit converted for girls in the TSR Archives. It took me some time to figure out how to make it work for boys, too, but I finally got it! And, of course, gave it a designer touch.(It's not that Adidas is my favorite brand, but their 3 stripes are easily recognized everywhere, and look good on clothing.)Teens on their way
I like challenging myself, and TSR really gives you a chance to take it to the next level!I'm working on teen clothing now. Some items are converted from my adult designs, and some are unique for teens.
I think I will probably keep moving down the age ladder, and then switch over to the male line.
Hope you like what you find here! What you WON'T find is lots of clothing that ended up in the garbage bin, as I don't think they were good enough. If I wouldn't download the designs myself, then they're not good enough to publish. (All personality tests claim I'm a raving perfectionist - don't know where they get THAT from...)
Getting a taste for it...
I never thought I would go into making clothes! Building lots has always been my favorite pasttime. However, I got inspired by H&M's Marimekko collection, and after reading Rockinrobin's Bodyshop tutorial (thanks for it!), I kind of got a taste for it. Maybe it's because I'm all for new challenges. My lack of self-confidence has kept me away from couture, as there are so many wonderfully talented fashion designers already! Dress-making also requires more skills with Photoshop than I had before. More often than not my designs don't turn out the way I want them, so a lot gets thrown into the garbage bin. But I hope you like what you find here. I only upload clothes I myself use in the game. Enjoy!Making Marimekko
I was inspired by H&M:s Marimekko collection and made a collection of my own! Most of the Marimekko retro fabrics can't be found online, so I ended up doing my own designs. I've worked with them around the clock for 4 days now, thrown away quite a few and even lost some in the process... whilst dust and laundry is piling up... but I've learned the basics of Body Shop, thanks to TSR tutorials.I just uploaded half a dozen outfits and am so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open. Got to go to bed and leave the rest for tomorrow - eh, I mean later today...
Playing games!
Hi there! I'm not dead or lost, I've just been playing other games for a change. Found this game where you buy chocolate factories around the world and sell the sweets to shops, whilst hunting for new ingredients. It's been nice playing a more traditional game!Plus I got kind of stuck with my story. I made the mistake of renaming the screen shots (in order to find them), but that means you won't find them if you are in another lot. So I will have to re-do a part of the story... -Sigh- Trying to recharge myself by playing something more simple...
Working on my first story
Wanted to something else for a change, so I started on a story. Now, THAT'S a challenge! I need to do things you can't normally do, so I have to figure a way around the game limits.Another challenge is to figure out how to upload the story. I found the Story Wizard alright, but it says nothing about how to get the story images to appear in it.
You're never too old to try to learn something new...
I'll upload the story in a few weeks. It will probably have to be broken up into chapters, and I want to upload the whole story at once. Who wants to wait for the next chapter? Certainly not me!
